Relaxing

Friday night
after a day long meeting
in the state capital hours away,
I sip my beer
watching World Cup soccer
not sure if today's meeting
was worthwhile
or meaningful.
As I suppose
that little about these words
or my beer or the soccer game
is truly meaningful either.
Is anything?
Doubtful.
But then with World Cup soccer on TV
and a cold beer in hand,
who cares.
Relaxing.
