Today's spring rains,
unlikely as it may seem,
have made the world
a richer green, a deeper green,
an improbable green,
a greener green than it has already been.
Chlorophyll on steroids.
A verdant spring like this
I don't recall,
but am delightfully fancying
the freshness of what is now
the new standard
for spring green.
