Perhaps Japan could never be my home,
my eyes are the wrong color,
but I don't know what else to call her.
And now that it is time to leave
I feel I've been wronged.
As a young man struggling to hold on
to his first broken-heart love-affair,
the seduction still prominent
lingers like perfume the morning after,
the realization of the end shattering.
Perhaps Japan could never be my home,
but inside my eyes are brown.
