Two people come together
For one, apparently
an inconsequential moment
within an unsubstantial time.
For the other,
the moment lingers
and remains upon his mind.
Two people move apart.
I’m nobody.
Notwithstanding Emily Dickinson,
you should know by now
that you are to me
not nobody,
but somebody.
Does that explains why
I am so blue
now that you are gone?
For one, apparently
an inconsequential moment
within an unsubstantial time.
For the other,
the moment lingers
and remains upon his mind.
Two people move apart.
I’m nobody.
Notwithstanding Emily Dickinson,
you should know by now
that you are to me
not nobody,
but somebody.
Does that explains why
I am so blue
now that you are gone?
